I get interrupted by the noise in the streets. I decide to go and see what the fuss was all about. Orange supporters were jubilant after defeating the Banana team. The banana camp which was in the red corner had the ministers who claimed that, since it was a government project, they will use all the resources at their disposal to see that they carry the day. On the blue corner we had the orange camp which also had a few ministers who were totally disagreeing with the others on such issues such as land, devolution of executive powers and wanted a people driven constitution which was left at Bomas conference. There was another problem, not the constitutional one but a battle for supremacy as to who counts the majority of votes. Banana had the Kikuyus, Embus and the Merus against the orange which had the other forty or so tribes in Kenya.
